Whitesnake is David Coverdale's solo project
Whitesnake is a band formed by former Deep Purple lead vocalist David Coverdale. Other original members were guitarists Micky Moody and Bernie Marsden, keyboardist Brian Johnston, bassist Neil Murray, and drummer Dave Dowle.
Brian Johnston was replaced by Pete Solley.
Whitesnake released the EP Snakebite in 1978.
Pete Solley was replaced by former Deep Purple keyboardist Jon Lord.
Dave Dowle was replaced by former Deep Purple drummer Ian Paice.
John Sykes was hired.
John Sykes, Neil Murray, and Aynsley Dunbar were fired.
Guitarists Vivian Campbell and Adrian Vandenberg and former Ozzy Osbourne band members bassist Rudy Sarzo and drummer Tommy Aldridge were hired.
